Women On Top - August/September Volume XVI

Imagine having the same attention put on you that Hollywood stars get everyday—

"Angel at Your Door," is just how you will feel when you meet Janice Bussing, the owner of of a fantastic busy-woman's-friend-wardrobe-service.

Bussing started her wardrobe career in 1988, while working in the motion picture industry. Throughout her twelve years as a stylist and designer, Bussing dressed celebrities including: Elizabeth Taylor, Pierce Brosnan, Sharon Stone, Tony Bennet and Michael Jordan—among others. A seasoned veteran in the art of dressing people to look their best, she learned the "ins-and-outs" of matching the right person—to the right clothes—to achieve the right look. This experience gave Bussing an incredible knowledge to do what any woman with talent and ambition does: Start her own business—and in 1993, "Angel At Your Door" was born. Bussing's clients range from A-List celebrities to busy working women. We all know what it's like not to think about our wardrobe until—it's too late. With only minutes to get ready for a date, a fab party or an important meeting with a client—we open our closet, and find that everything is out of date or in need of serious alterations.

Angel At Your Door is the answer for you and this is how it works: a consultation in your closet to weed out the old and unwanted allows Bussing to see your personal style and wardrobe needs. She goes shopping all over town to build you perfect wardrobe from classic chic to hip and trendy- working with your style and budget. After a fitting with the clothes chosen for you, Bussing allows you to keep only what you love (so no mistake will glare at you from your closet afterwards).

After the initial fitting, she makes certain all accessories and alterations are taken care of. "It is very important for me to make you wardrobe work for you. Shopping and maintaining your closet it no longer your job—it's mine," says Bussing. "We help with social calendars, packing for trips and fashion advice. We know your closet better than you—that's our job!"

Bussings artistic eye for detail provides everything you need to look fantastic—from head to toe. Everyday wear, to cocktail attire, clothes shoes, jewelry, handbags—all suited to your lifestyle. States Bussing, "Clothing affects our existence and the way people respond to us. I get a tremendous satisfaction knowing I have helped people look and feel better about themselves." Giving back and helping others Bussing says is what feeling good is all about. Affiliated with "Working Wardrobes," a nonprofit organization helping battered women, Bussing waives her $100 an hour consultation fee when clients donate what they no longer need in their closet to the charity.
